President's Report for August 2010 Sun, Aug 22 Installation - As previously discussed, we will celebrate the installation of Pr. Andrew on September 26th. Our service will be led by Rev. Juliet Blogfeldt; other ministers from the greater Rhode Island area will also be in attendance. Service will be at 3:00 PM with a potluck supper following. Day 7: Our Last Day in Honduras Sun, Aug 15 What an amazing way to end the week! Last nights mass was simply amazing. The people were so genuine in their gratefulless. During the sermon, each of us had to get up and give testimony to our week here. I said that I didn't know what to expect, but that I learned alot about myself (such as my ability to speak spanish that I did not know I had), and that I hoped to return to learn more about myself again and the culture. Day 6 Honduras, Last Day in Omoa Fri, Aug 13 It´s always hard to say goodbye. And we are definitely having a hard time here in Omoa. Tonight is our last night in the city we have called home for the past week, as well as our last night with Padre Medence and Fredy. Having to say goodbye to thee children in Chachuala was hard enough. We only knew them for three days and already we were so attatched to them. Day 5: The BEST Day Fri, Aug 13 Day 5: The Best Day Ever Today was by far the best day since we've been here! We woke up and had cornflakes with apple slices for the girls and omlets, tortillas, cheese and apples for the boys. (yummy!) We then went to the church and got to helpwith the construction project.
