St. James has registered with the RI Broadcasters Association (RIBA) to participate in the state-wide broadcast of cancellations in the event of inclement weather.
When services are canceled, we will now contact one organization - RIBA - to report closings, cancellations, and other announcements due to inclement weather. RIBA will get that information immediately to their members stations which currently include 28 radio and 6 television stations.

The word Advent means “coming”. For us, it means the coming of Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah, our Savior and Lord. For us, Advent is a season of expectation and preparation. It’s about spending four weeks just getting ready. Though we don’t always think of it this way, it’s a season of partnership with God.
