Meet the Candidate!

The Call Committee has completed its work.  Working with Synod they have interviewed and worshipped with a candidate who we hope will be the next Pastor of St. James.

We cannot share the name of this individual at this time, but we can tell you that St. James will be his 2nd Call.  He has been the pastor of a smaller Lutheran church in northern MA for 6 ½ years.  He is married with a young son. The committee was struck that many of the ministries and values that are important to our congregation are closely aligned with his experience and faith journey.

We felt lead throughout the process and feel blessed to have a wonderful candidate to present to the membership.

So, it is time for you to meet our candidate!

On Saturday, January 23rd at 5pm everyone is invited to a potluck dinner where we will all have a chance to meet our candidate and his family with a meal and fellowship.  There is a sign-up sheet in the Community Room for this event.  We urge everyone to come.  We would also like to announce that on Sunday, January 24th there will be only one worship service at 10am.  Our Pastoral Candidate will lead worship that day.   Following the service there will be Special Congregational Meeting where we will vote to decide if we will Call our candidate as our next Pastor.
