Communications
On several Sundays throughout June - and perhaps early July - Communications will be taking photos of members to update the pictorial directory which was last printed in December 2008. Everyone with updated contact information, new family members, etc. is encouraged to submit information to secretary@stjames-ri.org or to websteward@stjames-ri.org for inclusion in the new directory.
Photo Directory - An update to our Church Windows software will allow us to store family photos in our congregational database. Once the update is installed, all previously published family photos will be added to CW. During late May and Ju
The Worship & Music committee requested that our Sunday morning volunteer calendar be available online. During the meeting time on Team Tuesday, modifications to the online iGoogle calendar were completed and a new page added to our web site (calendar/volunteer schedules).
Other teams/committees are encouraged to bring forth ideas for better use of communications tools.
The new web site is up and ready for "visitors"! The site incorporates the following features (and more!):
- Online sermon videos
- "Blog" feature for Meditation Morsels, Family Blog, Meeting Minutes
- Publishes new blog entries to the St. James Facebook Page
- New calendar interface (Google) that allows "sharing" of calendar data entry
- Ability to add or edit pages from any computer that has internet connection
- User profiles and permissions that allow the site to be authored and/or maintained by any number of administrators
- Incorporated blog feature
