Calling all urban farmers, family gardeners, folks with green thumbs, families, singles, couples, groups, committees, the young and the not so young. St. John's Episcopal Church on County Road is hosting the Peace Patch Garden, an ecumenical effort for the many faith communities in Barrington to help feed the hungry. To date Temple Habonim, Barrington Congregational Church and St. Johns and St. James Lutheran Church have signed up to help with the garden
St. James is responsible for watering, weeding, cultivating and harvesting (whatever is ready to pick) the week of July 18
th and again the week of September 18
th. The harvest will be given to the needy.
The garden is located behind St. Johns' and to the right of the parking lot.
